CHARLESTON'S 2008 GOLF COURSE OF THE YEAR
Annually, the Charleston Chapter of the National Golf Course Owners Association selects a golf facility for the honor of course of the year. Following the nomination request, the selection process is conducted by our peers who are elected to the local board of directors. The criteria for the award is based on the course that demonstrates the following:
*Significant contribution to the game
*Exceptional course quality
*Excellence of Ownership and Management
*Outstanding contributions to the community
To our good fortune, October 15th, Pine Forest Country Club was presented the award of 2008 Charleston's Golf Course of the year. All regions awarded the honor automatically are nominated for the state of South Carolina course of the year. Pine Forest placed second in the state competition behind Myrtle Beach's Grande Dunes resort.
I would like to thank and congratulate our membership, owners and staff for their efforts that positioned the club to be recognized as a facility that contributes and operates to such a high standard.
