Our Mission

Our Mission is to entertain you in a safe, clean, progressive, and active club environment with a relentless pursuit to elevate our service standards to a degree that exceeds your expectations.  

 About Pine Forest Country Club

  • The Club is owned by the Cumbie Family of Moncks Corner. The Cumbies purchased the Club in October of 2003. Since purchasing the Club, the Cumbies have invested over $1 Million in order to upgrade the facilities.
  • Pine Forest is currently a semi-private country club.
  • Pine Forest Country Club currently has 500 members.
  • The Club’s amenities include an 18-hole championship golf course, a world-class tennis complex, a junior Olympic size swimming pool with a toddler pool and bathhouse, a pool and court-side Cabana Bar and Grill, and a full-service clubhouse.
  • The clubhouse features a fully stocked golf shop, men's and ladies' locker rooms, a full-service restaurant and veranda with views of the course. The clubhouse is available for wedding receptions, corporate events or other special events in addition to our regular member activities and daily-fee customers.

 

     About  The Course

  • Golf Digest Magazine awarded the course four stars in its' 2002 Places to Play edition and nicknamed it "The Hidden Gem of Charleston". The four star ranking places Pine Forest in the top 5% of all non-private courses in the United States. Making Pine Forest the highest rated non-resort course in the Charleston area.
  • The golf course is a Par 72 layout designed by Bob Spence, who is the lead designer for Davis Love III.
  • The course features five sets of tees ranging from the extremely challenging championship tees (6,905 yards with a course rating of 74.1 and a slope of 142) to a more manageable gold tees (5,782 yards with a course rating of 68.9 and a slope of 122). Meanwhile, the ladies tees measure 4,990 yards with a course rating of 70.8 and a slope of 115).
  • The tees, fairways and rough are all 328 Bermuda and the greens are Tiftdwarf with an average stemp meter reading of 8.

     Our History

  • The current golf course was built on the grounds of Pine Forest Inn's Hunt Club. The Pine Forest Inn was one of the first resorts in the United States dating back to 1891. The Inn also had a golf course as early as 1891 making it one of the first seven courses in the country.
